When I was young, I often watched my dad as he created wonderful, imaginative, colorful oil and acrylic paintings - images that appeared in his mind and nowhere else...until he put paint to canvas. Our home was an ever-changing gallery of his paintings. I am forever grateful for his influence on my life and my art.
My dad considered his work "Fantasy Art", but the worlds he created became real as he worked on a piece and completed a canvas. He graduated college as an architect, and the structures within his paintings reflect that knowledge. He was also a pilot (Lt. Col.) in the US Air Force and played the clarinet (he had perfect pitch and could play a piece by ear). He was an avid reader and (clearly) a fan of science fiction, but he also loved to read history, biographies, westerns, and international intrigues. His great loves were his family, friends, and painting. This is just a small sampling of some of his paintings.
